I am a BSP alumna, class of 2019, double-majored in Molecular Cell Biology and Public Health. During my time at Cal I was able to participate in a number of extracurriculars and internships including the Suitcase Clinic, the Summer Health Professions Education Program, Global Brigades at Honduras and the Program for Early Researchers with BSP, amongst others. After graduating, I solidified my skills during my time at Planned Parenthood and LifeLong Medical. I am really happy to be back with BSP, the community that taught so much and nourished so many of the skills needed for me to succeed. BSP gave me my most treasured memories and connected me to my best friends. Folks who I continue to lean on for professional and personal advice. My time at Cal was a rollercoaster and without the support and encouragement from the BSP community I would have not been able to continue my aspirations of becoming a physician.
As a 1st generation Latinx, from a low-income single-parent household, I empathize with many of the hardships and needs of the BSP student community. I look forward to providing the support and close-knit community that I was fortunate to find within BSP.
