Why do you tutor for BSP: On such a large campus, it can be intimidating to have to ask for help when struggling academically. This struggle is exacerbated by the competitive environment that is prevalent in many STEM courses at Berkeley. What I love about BSP is that we set out on a mission to form a collaborative environment where students can be vulnerable about their struggles and help each other through various challenges faced as STEM students. As a study group leader, it is my goal to create an environment where my peers feel comfortable enough to share ideas, ask questions, and be able to learn from each other, on a campus where this type of community can seem difficult to find.
