Why do you tutor for BSP?
I believe that an empowering environment is one of the most important factors to a student’s success and I’m very passionate about fostering that as a fellow minority in STEM. Everyone I’ve met on campus has been very encouraging of me and my goals, and BSP creates a space where that support is easily accessible and readily available — which can often be difficult in such a large campus. I’m very excited and honored to be a part of and contribute to such an uplifting community.
What is your favorite class so far?
My favorite class so far in Berkeley is Chem 3B (Organic Chemistry 2) because the content was interesting and began connecting chemistry to bigger pictures such as common biological processes we know of. The questions were like challenging, fun puzzles. It was exciting to put all the concepts I’ve learned in past chemistry classes together to solve it.
