SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – California Life Sciences (CLS), the state’s life sciences trade association, has awarded John Matsui, Ph.D., with the 2023 Pantheon Award for Inspiring Future Leaders. The award recognizes Matsui for his work leading the Biology Scholars Program, an undergraduate STEM equity program at UC Berkeley.

Pantheon brings together more than 500 industry pioneers each year to recognize the contributions of leading life sciences innovators in the state. Winners were announced at the awards ceremony on November 1 in San Francisco.
