BSP awarded HHMI Sustaining Excellence grant

HHMI Howard Hughes Medical Institute vertical color logoThe BSP is excited to announce it is among 37 recipients to receive an HHMI Sustaining Excellence science and education grant. The grant supports the BSP in the area of Student Learning and Faculty Development Communities. The goal of developing these learning communities is to improve interactions between and among students and faculty, which will, in turn, impact institutional climate and culture. Activities include those designed to support:

  • students in the area of engagement, enthusiasm, math competency, foundational science, self-efficacy, and science identity
  • faculty in mentoring, advising, teaching, instruction, and collaborations
  • student-faculty interactions, relationships, and perceptions
