Why do you tutor for BSP?
I tutor for BSP because I believe that a single person's encouragement and support can significantly transform a student's academic experience in a class. Sometimes, all it takes is a bit of encouragement to show someone that a challenging subject is actually manageable. BSP has connected me with individual who offered fresh perspectives and helped demystify courses that often seem impossible at first. I have personally benefited from BSP advisors and peers who taught me the importance of putting my best foot forward and embracing a growth mindset. I hope to be that supportive figure for others.
What is your favorite class so far?
My favorite class has been MCB 102 because it tied together concepts from almost all of my core lower division classes. I understood how classes such as organic chemistry played a role in biology and our functioning as humans day-to-day. Learning about the complexities of the metabolic pathways inspired and motivated to continue my path as a pre-medical student.
