Diego Dubon, Peer Advisor
Let me introduce myself, I am Diego Dubon and I will be one of your new peer advisors (yay!).
So, a little bit about myself, I am from the city of Berkeley so I’ve been here at Cal since I was two (kidding but not really, look up Harold E. Jones Child Study Center if you are curious). I grew up in a single-parent household where higher education was encouraged, but not any particular direction. From early on I enjoyed the sciences so I always knew that science was what I wanted to pursue, then due to many circumstances and experiences, I decided on pursuing a career in medicine.
I started Cal in 2012 as a Spring admit as an intended Pre-med Biology major. After much contemplation I decided on Molecular & Cell Biology (Infectious Diseases Emphasis) and a minor in Philosophy while still retaining my interest in medicine. I joined BSP during the second semester of my first year and I immediately felt like I had found a second home on campus with students from both similar and different backgrounds than my own. As a peer advisor I hope to continue meeting and getting to know BSPers and help you all along your academic and professional career paths.
